Custom Chrome Europe - Thunderbike
Grolsheim, Germany based Custom Chrome Europe has added parts and accessories from Andreas Bergerforth's Thunderbike (Hamminkeln, Germany) - one of Europe's leading authorized Harley-Davidson dealers, a prolific customizer and, for good measure, former AMD World Champion Custom Bike Builder.
Derived from Thunderbike's in-house custom parts and accessory design and manufacturing program, while it is the complete customs and exceptional engineering that gets most of the attention, behind the successful project bikes and custom builds is a parts engineering capability that specialises in 'real-world' design and fit and road-grade quality and durability - "manufacturing approved parts components using high grade materials to achieve classic 'German engineering meets superior style' street legal parts."
M8 Softail Rear Steel Fenders
These premium raw steel fenders for Wide Frame M8 Softail Models are "designed for durability, style, and performance, this fender ensures a perfect fit while enhancing the overall look of the bike."
Versatile lighting options allow the rider to choose from various E-approved lighting setups, with optional load equalizer.

The complete installation kit includes fender mounting hardware, mud guard, and precision-milled 'dog-bone' washer for secure fastening; they are suitable and certified for two-person riding.

They are approved for 260 mm wide 18" tires. Modifications to the OEM seat are required, but Thunderbike recommends using one of its own fiberglass seat plates, or a choice from its design range of solo seats; the company also advises to check the clearance between the tire and fender and installing a shock travel limiter if needed.

340 mm Floating Brake Discs
Thunderbike's round 340 mm floating brake disc - "precision braking for maximum performance" is an upgrade designed with a floating mechanism to allow for independent expansion of the friction ring, minimizing distortion and ensuring smooth, consistent braking.

The brake ring and hub are flexibly connected via bushings, allowing the friction ring to expand without deformation. This precision fitment features 5 x 10 mm fastening holes and includes five adapter rings for 5/16" front brake disc bolts.
They have a 56 mm centering diameter with 340 OD and Thunderbike recommends sintered brake pads for the best results. They have been built to "withstand extreme conditions while providing superior stopping power."
Fit includes selected Softails and Dyna from 2000 and up (exceptions apply), Touring models and H-D Trikes.
