JIMS locking bars
Harley's 2018 and up M-8 Softails include a new primary drive design and configuration. A primary lock bar is key in locking the primary drive system. JIMS locking bars are made from aircraft quality steel and plated in black oxide for corrosion resistance. The length of the bar is designed for solid engagement in-between the engine compensating sprocket and clutch sprocket. Locking the primary drive is required for a wide range of service work including changing or removing the compensator nut, changing the primary chain, chain tension adjustment, changing the stator, removing the clutch hub nut and general clutch maintenance. www.jimsusa.com
