Buell Super Cruiser: First Build Complete
Grand Rapids, Michigan based Buell Motorcycle owner Bill Melvin has kept the important first stage of the promise he made to bring a Buell Cruiser to market by completing the first production build and publishing a tech sheet for the series.
"Our first build is complete," said Bill at the send of September, "marking the start of fully saleable Super Cruisers rolling off the line. This is a story of precision, not speed.
"Supply chain realities will keep our ramp slow and steady through May 2026. Why? Because we refuse to compromise on the components that make this bike legendary. Every part will be sourced right, every build deliberate."
After nailing the supply chain, there is, of course, the hurdle of "regulatory reality" to be overcome. "Here's the straight truth about availability," says Bill. "Initial EPA certification gives us the green light for most states, and that is expected between now and the end of 2025. For California residents, CARB approval will come after EPA certification.
"Over the next three months, we'll reach out individually about financing and delivery details. The process moves at the pace of getting things done right, if that isn't as fast as we'd all like, well so be it.
