Hawg Halter trees for ’14 Touring models
HAWG Halters is now shipping a version of its X23 triple trees, which have been designed to allow a 23in wheel to be used on 2014 Touring models, while maintaining correct steering geometry.
The X23 kit is said by Hawg Halters to incorporate and enhance the updated triple clamp design from H-D to provide maximum fork rigidity and superior handling response. It is a bolt-on kit that positions the front wheel approximately 2in forward, does not require fork extensions, uses stock length fork covers, maintains a fully functional fork lock, does not need a raked head light bezel kit, and includes fork travel limiters. The X23 is available in machined or black finishes.
Following the introduction of the latest version of the X23 kit, Hawg Halters is now able to offer complete 23in conversion kits that include X23 triple trees, custom HHI fender brackets, wrap around, US made, one-piece fenders in raw or black, brake lines, custom 23in wheel and tire combinations that include matching floating brake rotors in 11.8, 13in, and 18in configurations and DOT approved brake lines.

Industry veteran opens international consultancy
Former Bel-Ray Oils veteran JJ Handfield used the recent V-Twin Expo to debut his own new company – JJ Sells PowerSports, LLC.
Handfield is leveraging his considerable long term international distribution experience to offer American parts and accessory manufacturers (V-Twin and ‘metric’) a consultancy service to increase worldwide sales for their aftermarket products.
Handfield has four decades of powersports industry sales and marketing experience, domestically as well as internationally, and says that “while my focus will be international, that doesn’t mean I will be ignoring my hundreds of dealer, distributor and manufacturer friends who focus on the USA.”
Handfield went on to say that: “Many top selling North American companies and innovative American powersports industry products are not known or present outside the USA. JJ Sells PowerSports can open the door to the world market for these companies and their products.

PowerDrive 6 for '93-'98 FLTs
Rivera Primo first brought its PowerDrive 6 transmission to the market over seven years ago, introducing them in left- and right-side drive configurations for Softail style applications.
Today the range includes an FLT style PowerDrive 6 transmission, which is polished and chromed. It fits ‘93-‘98 Touring models and comes completely assembled with a black wrinkled oil pan and a billet aluminum oil fill spout that accepts the stock filler cap. Two versions are available; a standard offset for stock bikes with stock width rear tires using a 5/8in swingarm pivot shaft and a 1/2in offset for customs with wide tires utilizing a 3/4in pivot shaft.
Like all versions of the PowerDrive 6, the FLT option has a 32-tooth final drive pulley, close ratio 2.94:1 first gear; second gear 2.21; third gear 1.60, fourth gear 1.23; fifth gear 1.00, and 0.860:1 overdrive sixth gear, and forged and back cut gears for positive shifting.
The oil fill spout is machined from a solid block of billet, with cooling fins added for a ‘high speed’ look.
All PowerDrive 6 complete transmission assemblies are supplied with a two-year, unlimited mileage replacement guarantee.

Scorpion low-profile lock-up clutch
BARNETT’S newest lock-up clutch is the Scorpion for use on ‘90-‘97
Harley-Davidson Big Twins.
This latest clutch offering features a re-designed billet aluminum lock-up pressure plate designed to fit under the stock primary cover. As with all Scorpion clutches, the surface area is greatly increased and lever effort is kept to a minimum. Three different coil spring sets provide a wide variety of spring pressure options allowing users to tune the clutch for stock to 200hp plus applications. A steel inner hub is also included to complete the unit.

Remus exhaust for 2014 Softail
REMUS has introduced a line of custom slip-on exhaust mufflers for the Harley-Davidson Softail range. The custom mufflers can be ordered either with or without the Remus MCS-system, which is used to remotely alter the level of the exhausts’ volume.
Both versions of the new slip-on from Remus include a catalytic converter and the choice of a chrome or black stainless steel finish. The exhausts are supplied without end caps, and customers have a choice of six end cap designs; Slash Cut, Perforated, Tapered, Straight End, Rolled Up, and Sniper.
Dyno testing of the Remus mufflers has shown increases in both power and torque over the stock system.
The Remus slip-ons are available to fit the Softail Deluxe, Slim, Cross Bones, and Blackline.
