Service Revenue Collapsed in March
PSB reports that Same Store Sales data from March from more than 1,700 of CDK Global’s Lightspeed DMS dealerships saw average service department revenue decrease by -42.2 percent during March.
All regions of the U.S. had an average dealership service department revenue drop of at least -40 percent. Service revenue increased in March at 244 of the Lightspeed dealerships in the report during March, but decreased at 1,222 stores.
As the coronavirus crisis deepens, many more dealerships and powersports vehicle manufacturers in the USA are now not waiting for Federal or State shut-down guidance, but going ahead and doing so with ever longer periods being cited, some already into early May.
