Maximum Output AR Exhausts for M8 Baggers
These AR (Anti-Reversion) exhaust systems from Feuling Parts in California feature triple-stepped head pipes and straight can muffler design. They are available in brushed stainless or show polish finish, with short or long tapered end caps.
The triple stepping in these handcrafted, tuned length 2 into 1 high performance exhaust systems for M8 Touring Models are 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" to 2" with large 2 3/4" collector exit and stepped 2 3/4" to 2 7/8" 'Dogball' muffler core. The two different end cap lengths options allows the exhaust to sit flush with the standard or extended H-D saddlebags. Matching Pseudo pipes are available as well (Part #5903, #5903SP, #5904, or #5904SP).
"Our patented Anti-Reversion chamber technology (Patent # US 4206600 A & 6336471 B1) has been transferred from Feuling performance automotive developed designs dating back to the 1970s.
"Designed to increase power, throttle response and fuel economy they also reduce carbon deposits and cylinder temperatures. This is achieved by the overlapping bulb chamber inside that trap negative exhaust waves carrying heat and spent gases.
"By blocking these waves, we also reduce exhaust gas from re-entering the combustion chamber, allowing for a more positive intake charge and crisper throttle response. This will also allow for a leaner tune increasing fuel economy.
"The Stepped 'Dogball' Muffler inserts (Patent #5,173,576) are another patented technology - this one dating back to the early 1990s. Designed to minimize the drone/hollow noise common in straight through mufflers and absorb high pitch frequencies, they produce a unique deep tone while maintaining inertia.
"Providing excellent low to mid-range torque and a signature high RPM note, the baffles are wrapped with stainless mat then fiberglass packing to extend packing life. The high-flow billet end cap that is finished is tapered on the inside for optimal flow and sound."
The 1 3/4" stepped head pipe into the Feuling Anti-Reversion chamber steppes to 1 7/8" then to 2". The head pipes enter a true performance merge collector with a 2 3/4" exit into the straight can muffler - the baffle is stepped 2 3/4" to 2 7/8".
This system comes standard with 18 mm 02 bungs; adapters are included to run the factory style 12 mm 02 sensors. FEULING Exhaust Systems are hand tig welded, and hand brushed or hand polished for a high-grade show finish.
