Meet The New Boss - Same as the Old Boss?

The controversy surrounding Harley's choices of Independent Board Directors shows no sign of abating - no lessons appear to have been learned and there are no signs of changes to what has become Harley-Davidson Boardroom orthodoxy despite the parlous state the business is in and the unprecedented boardroom brouhaha that another failed five-year strategic plan unleashed following the FY 2024 fiscal reveal earlier this year.

However, having resisted calls for them to leave straight away (voluntarily or otherwise), activist investor and Hedge Fund H Partners has now seen one part of the compromise struck with the board, with Independent Directors Sara Levinson and Norman Thomas Linebarger having now retired from the Board.

Harley's first female Board Member, Levison was a successful former entertainment, media (MTV), sports (NFL) and technology industry executive who had served on the Harley board since 1996. Linebarger, a former investment analyst who eventually became Chairman/CEO of Cummins (until 2002) joined in 2008. Both served on the Human Resources, Nominating and Corporate Governance and Sustainability and Safety Committees.

Their replacements as independent directors are Daniel Nova, a General Partner of Boston based Highland Capital Partners, a venture capital fund; and Matt Reintjes, President and Chief Executive Officer at YETI Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: YETI) - a Texas based seller of YETI brand products for the outdoor and recreation market - FMCG (low price, high volume) products like ice chests, vacuum-insulated stainless-steel drinkware, soft coolers, dry bags and the like.

time is not his friend

In a company news release that was additionally filed with the SEC, Presiding Director Troy Alstead 'talked both appointments up' of course, but neither has an engineering, manufacturing or motorcycle industry background or any discernible directly relevant segment experience.

Mr. Alstead added: "We are deeply grateful to Tom and Sara for their years of dedicated service to Harley-Davidson and our shareholders. Throughout their tenure, they have guided the company through significant challenges with steady leadership and unwavering commitment."

The period concerned also included declining unit sales, implementation of a disastrous dealer policy, resulting in a declining dealer network, withdrawal from many international markets, expansion of manufacturing and assembly into Brazil, Thailand, China and India, launch of the patently ill-fated money-pit that is the LiveWire EV, abandonment of the popular 883/1,200 cc "entry level" brand pathway, sale of much of the historic Juneau Avenue headquarters in Milwaukee, reduced headcount and declining share price and market cap and a second successive utterly failed five-year strategic plan.

Alstead concluded by saying "we thank them sincerely for their contributions and wish them the very best in their future endeavours." The Board has now added four new independent members to its nine-member line-up, with Presiding Director Alstead becoming Chairman of the Board 12 months ago.

With Artie Starrs having gotten his feet 'under the table' at the start of October (replete with new 117" Heritage Classic and Riding Academy course certificate courtesy of Maverick H-D in Dallas) it's tempting to hope that, expect that the new boss will be notably different to the old boss. But with Zeitz still expected to be the 'boss whisperer' for some time yet - through February 2026 in fact - these new Independent Director appointments do not scream revolution. Nor even evolution.

There have been some changes in direction recently - nudges and changes in nuance rather than a complete volte face though. Not least embracing new, lower displacement, lower price-point entry level model pathways - with a first announcement due any time now and an additional new $10k cruiser model slated for early 2026 announcement. The now re-dated MY2026 announcement cycle is expected to see most 2026 model range news, including a Harley-Davidson Sprint, released in October and on show for the first time at EICMA, in Milan, Italy in the first week of November.

It is certain though that dealers will be seeing it in October, but it is said that deliveries won't be starting until into 2026. Described as drawing on the heritage of the Aermacchi 250 cc and, later, 350 cc iteration Sprint that went out of production in 1974, the displacement capacity of the new model is not yet public domain information, or if it is I've missed it.

It will be a single though (so I'm told) and is likely to be a 450 built by Hero Motorcorp in India. It being on show at Milan is just exactly that, a theory. Even if shown it may not yet be ready for sale in Europe, indeed may never be sold in Europe. The $6k and equivalent price-point will make it disproportionately sensitive to a whole vehicle tariff of at least 15%, and then there is the small matter of Euro 5+ emissions compliance.

Even if only destined for domestic U.S. dealers initially, or at all, it is none the less a welcome new weapon in Dealer lockers - one that will certainly create door swings. Maybe the fact that it has apparently "been in development" (a single phrase with a thousand possible meanings) does point to European emissions compliance. We'll know soon enough. Either way, Harley's sales in Europe need just as much of a steroid injection as they do in the United States.

In fact, by year end it is likely that Harley's European market share may well be down to around 3-4% (at best) which is pretty much back down to where it was when I published the first edition of what became AMD (European Dealer News) in September 1993!

There have also been additional layoffs, in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Additional to those announced in 2024 when Harley projected dealership inventories to be reduced by 30% internationally and up to 35% in the United States. Plus, as yet unspecified additional broader based layoffs of up to 13 days and an economy and efficiency drive that is expected to save some $400m.

Personally, I do not see the sell-off of part of the Juneau Ave., former corp. HQ or the sales of 10% of the HDFA loan book to KKR and Pimco as long-term strategic positives, but more as acts of cash desperation. But if things really are as bad as that appears to signal then I guess that's better than not having the cash.

If the new boss thinks he's inheriting a viable playbook he's in for a rude awakening. Either way he cannot afford to be timid. Not in his first year. Not in his first quarter, first month or even first week. Time is not his friend.

Budweis Custom Show & Indian Riders Fest 2025

Budweis Custom Show & Indian Riders Fest

Lipno Nad Vltadou, Czechia, June 19-22, 2025

A new location for this fifth annual Indian Riders Fest (IRF) proved to be a perfect choice – on the lakeside beachfront of Lake Lipno, in southern Bohemia in Czechia (The Czech Republic), with beautiful views and roads, great weather and thousands of visitors.

With the unique and ever increasingly popular IRF comes the annual Budweis Custom Show (BCS) now in its fourth year - the world's leading, and the AMD Approved Program's only Indian Motorcycles-only custom bike show.

Three nights of great bands on the lakeside stage, accompanied by the famous Symphonika on the Rock Orchestra, a DJ stage, entertainment throughout the days, dozens of vendors, the Indian Village, an Indian Motorcycle raffle, the huge Indian Parade on the second day, Demo-rides, Scenic Tours, good food, drinks, party fun – the glories of summer!

Organizers Jean-Marie Guyon and his wife Leona had thought of everything and gone to great lengths to make sure everybody had a good time and that everything ran seamlessly. The event saw thousands of Indian motorcycles, of all eras, in one place at one time, and yes, its official - Indian Riders Fest is the biggest Indian Motorcycle rally in the world!

With 42 nationalities attending IFR 2025, it confirmed and proved that this is the place to be for all Indian riders – whether very old, vintage Indians, examples from various of the brand's iterations, or the latest models from the Indian Motorcycle factory at Spirit Lake, Iowa or the European assembly facility Opole, Poland.

The Budweis Custom Show was on the lakeshore, with all the Indian custom bikes lined-up in five classes on the pier next to the harbor after being extensively being photographed by international recognized custom specialist lensman Horst "Motographer" Roesler – a unique and uniquely beautiful sight, never to be repeated sight. As the show continues to develop the bikes may change each year, but the 'vibe' and special nature of this ever-growing global gathering remains the same.

As the sun set on the Friday evening it got even better with the bikes lit up by Indian-red floodlights reflecting the lights and silhouettes of the motorcycles in lake Lipno.

On Saturday, early in the morning, the team of professional judges had the task to choose the best bikes. From 10 am onwards the Public Choice could be made, by using the QR-code that every bike had on their head light.

Around noon all custom bikes participated in a 'Custom Parade' on the beachfront promenade, to show that every bike is rideable indeed, and both the bikes and their riders were introduced to the public.

The festivities continued all day with the highlight at the end of the afternoon as the prizes were handed out on the Budweis Custom Show stage. The big overall winner was Florian Pfante with his USM Indian Scout 'UNIKAT' - he won both the Builders Vote and the Best of Show!

The Jury Panel for the Budweis Custom Show 2025 featured Ola Stenegard, (Indian Motorcycle, Head of Design) as President of Honour of the 2025 BCS Jury Panel; Herman (Representing Indian Motorcycle – Polaris); Randy Lijnen (Sales development Manager for Jekill & Hyde); Detlef Achterberg (Head of Sales for Wunderkind Custom); Axel Scherer (Marketing Manager at Custom Chrome Europe); Marcos Vasquez (custom bike builder from Spain); Tomboy a Bit (YouTube, UK); and Onno "Berserk" Wieringa (Freelance reporter/photographer and AMD Ambassador) Chairman of the Jury.

Thanks to our partners, Indian Motorcycle, Wunderkind, Jekill & Hyde, Custom Chrome Europe the judges and the Budweis Custom Show team - Horst "Motographer" Roesler and Irena Duskova!

Despite revenue coming in ahead of Wall Street investor expectations, Harley's Q2 global unit shipments declined 28%, and the company's net income fell to $108m - down over 50% year-over-year. Those expectations must have been really bad!

Continuing the downward trend in the Harley dealer eco-system, another dealer shuttered its doors permanently in June. After 25 years in business, High Country Harley-Davidson, with locations in Frederick, Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming, has closed both its stores - merely the latest to find itself impaled on Harley's hubris. Several high-profile stores closed in 2024 alone, including legacy locations in San Francisco, New York City, and Illinois. Reasons cited ranged from economic challenges to ownership changes and corporate restructuring. Reporting the news PSB said that "despite having more than 650 dealerships nationwide, the closures reflect broader challenges in the powersports retail sector as brands, dealers, and customers adjust to changing market conditions."

Polaris is to donate $1m to advance ATV and UTV safety through its home state's 4-H Youth Development program - part of University of Minnesota's plan to expand critical all-terrain and utility vehicle safety education and training programs. 4-H adult volunteers will also have the opportunity to be certified in the ATV Safety Institute's "Train-the-Trainer" safety certification.

Dainese, the Italian motorcycle gear and apparel company, has been sold by Carlyle Group for € 1 to London based Arcmont Asset Management and HPS Investment Partners. The transfer of ownership follows a period of financial losses at Dainese, with the company reportedly being some € 300m in debt. The new owners have acquired Dainese as part of a restructuring plan - essentially a debt for equity swap (aka a 'debtor in possession' acquisition) that gets Carlyle off the hook for part of their original acquisition cost only. This is the latest stage in a fall from grace at the hands of sequential Private Equity investors. Founder Leo Dainese first sold the business he had loving built to Investcorp (the Bahrain Sovereign Wealth Fund) for € 285m in 2014. Investcorp financed that acquisition with credit provided by Arcmont and HPS. Investcorp flipped Dainese to Carlyle Group for an eyewatering enterprise value of € 630 million in 2022.

An 11-year-old youth motocross racer - Raycin Kyler of Florida - made history as the first female to capture the AMA National Championship in an open class (65 cc, 10-11 Limited class) at the 44th Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship (the world's single-largest motocross event) at the Loretta Lynn ranch.

At the end of July, Zero Motorcycles announced that it had made the first dealer deliveries of its X Line models to dealers. "The delivery of the first X Line bikes is a major milestone for Zero and for the future of off-road EV performance," said CEO Sam Paschel. With the XB [$4,395] and XE [$6,495], we're making electric motorcycles more accessible and approachable for riders everywhere. Over the next two years, we will introduce six new models priced under $10,000 across multiple new vehicle segments, expanding access to more riders."

Klock Werks

Add Some Extra Flare

Mitchell, South Dakota based Klock Werks have started to release what must be one of the most logical brand extensions seen so far this year - Flare Hand Guards.

Brian Klock says they have been in design for almost a year as they refined the "flip" and dialed in the brackets for the first few fitments. They have been extensively tested on the highways and the twisties, and reaction to the first few that were released at Sturgis has been excellent, Brian says.

Crafted from polycarbonate (classic tints) and acrylic (Ice and Kolor options, seen here), Flare hand guards deflect air, bugs, wind, and rain away from the rider's hands. They extend the air management characteristics already sought after on Klock's Flare windshield designs, which help direct airflow over and around both rider and passenger.

They feature black e-coated aluminum with hardware can be stripped, polished and anodized to color match build components.

Initial current fitments include 1982+ Harley-Davidson cable or hydraulic clutch and the 2003 and up models. Future fitments will include Indian Chieftain, Challenger and more.

Windy City Motorcycle Company

There's Always a Bigger Fish

Those who have been following (or rather, trying to follow) the changes in the Greater Chicago area, northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin authorized Harley-Davidson dealer landscape will find this news unsurprising.

The churn (instability?) in the Dealer landscape there has been unprecedented - a case study of the kind of Harley Dealer Network chaos seen throughout North America and Europe in the past decade.

Windy City Motorcycle Company has been a dealership buy/sell, rename/relocate dynamo ever since it was founded by Ozzie and Jill Giglio in 2000.

Legendary Harley-Davidson Dealer Group owner, auto industry veteran and NHRA Pro Stock racer Marc Ingwersen

timhailey@eatmyink.com

However, the September 2025 news was of its acquisition by automotive industry veteran and NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Drag Racer Marc Ingwersen and his business partner Jerry Carillo's Legendary Harley-Davidson Dealer Group. "The deal is one of the most significant Harley and powersports transactions in recent years, expanding the group's footprint into the Chicagoland market."

Since 2002 Windy City has expanded from a single Harley-Davidson dealership in Villa Park into a multi-brand, multi-location network representing Harley, KTM, and Triumph. "Over the past 25 years, the company has established a reputation for strong sales, expert service, and community engagement.

"Jill and I are grateful to the tens of thousands of riders we've met along the way," said founder Ozzie Giglio. "Marc and Jerry share our passion for riding and the community, and we're confident they'll take the Windy City legacy to the next level."

According to a company release the acquisition includes Wild Fire H-D, Illinois H-D, Woodstock H-D, Woodstock KTM and Triumph, Lake Shore H-D, Starved Rock H-D, and Starved Rock KTM. "Current employees are expected to remain in their current positions.

"Ingwersen and Carillo bring decades of dealership leadership experience, "with a track record of customer-focused operations and recognition through Harley-Davidson's Bar & Shield and Premiere Service Awards." The Legendary Harley-Davidson Dealer Group currently includes Buckeye H-D (Dayton, OH), CinCity H-D (Cincinnati, OH), High Stakes H-D (Florence, KY), and Lucky Peach H-D (Atlanta, GA).

"Windy City is an iconic name in the Midwest with a loyal customer base and a strong team. We're excited to build on that foundation and expand opportunities for riders in this region."

In recent years the evolution of the ownerships, and the emergence of the groups that have subsequently arisen as a result of those changes have had a not universally appreciated affect on Harley's ability to remain close to its customer base.

There is a widespread school of thought that the investor and private equity third party dealership model implemented by former CEO Jochen Zeitz, who mistakenly saw Harley stores as assets that could be traded like baseball cards, turning a once stable and admirable primary asset into anything but.

Pingel NHRA Top Fuel Motorcycles

McBride Scores Big in Brainerd

The Pingel NHRA Top Fuel Motorcycles came to Brainerd International Raceway in Northen Minnesota on August 15-17, looking for a break from previous round Virginia's blazing heat. They eventually found it, but the first round of qualifying was unseasonably hot and humid for Brainerd.

Larry 'Spiderman' McBride and his tuner/builder/brother Steve thrived in the heat of their home state Virginia, setting an NHRA 1000 foot record of 242.93 mph there. Ditto on Friday in Brainerd, where they rolled off the trailer with a new NHRA 1000-foot ET record 4.812 at 242.67, once again delivering in the heat.

Larry 'Spiderman' McBride

That was considerably quicker than anyone else, with Elmeri Salakari in second with a 5.91 at 152. Bob Malloy had new tire blues and didn't post a representative time. Mitch Brown's team began what would be a weekend-long test of perseverance by pushing the head gasket out on all sides.

Micah Fenwick started the round off by spinning the tire, but also getting no time when the NHRA apparently forgot to switch the timing system after the sleds ran.

Bob Malloy

Q2 was postponed to Saturday and there would be no Q3. When the bikes got to the track that afternoon, Larry ran 4.84 at 239. Fenwick rebounded with a 5.21 at 183, and Malloy seemingly put his problems behind him with a 5.08 at 208, Salakari rani 5.17 at 204, and Brown made another slow pass with a Frankensteined back-up head

Mitch Brown

Malloy's weekend ended early in first round of eliminations when he apparently spun at the hit against Brown. His grip on second in points dropped to only 25 ahead of Mitch.

As for Brown, his round win in the other lane was spectacular as his engine flashed brightly at the hit and pumped fuel out of one pipe and the head as he stayed on it to the stripe.

That was followed by a great race between Fenwick and Salakari. Micah took the tree .128 to .161 and both had identical 1.070 60 foot times. Fenwick was then quicker at the 330 and eighth mile before his bike wouldn't shift, leaving him at 5.19 at 196 to Elmeri's winning 5.12 at 222.

Micah Fenwick

McBride had the bye and ran another 4.84 at 242 - the world's quickest, fastest bracket bike.

Brown borrowed an engine from Sam Wills and had the bye in E2. But the result was another flash two and a half seconds into the run, another engine failure.

Elmeri Salakari

Salakari then put up a good fight against McBride, who took the tree by .007 and won with a 4.77 at 245 to 5.10 at 221-setting both ends of the record.

With no motors left, Brown was unable to make the final. Running solo in the left lane, Larry flashed out a head gasket for his first mechanical failure in nearly two full seasons of racing.

A cost worth the result of McBride's second straight Pingel NHRA Top Fuel Motorcycle championship-secured this year after only three of four races.

RumbleOn has rebranded itself as the RideNow Group, is to move its HQ from Irving, Texas to Chandler, Arizona, deploy a new NASDAQ ticker ident (RDNW) and build a new structure for its 54 powersports dealership operations. The new HQ offices are at the former independent, pre-take-over Ride Now iteration's flagship store. Cam Tkach, COO says: "Central to the company's plan is the rollout of the RideNow Way, a business framework built on three core pillars: entrepreneurial spirit, customer experience, and operational excellence. A new law in Kentucky means that powersports vehicles like UTVs and ATVs can now be used legally on the street. Kind of. RideApart reports that Eligible off-road rigs can now be made street legal in the state, provided they pass inspection, meet safety standards and observe a few basic rules. Under the law, street-legal "special purpose vehicles" (SPVs) must be equipped with things like seatbelts, roll cages, headlights, turn signals, and mirrors. Owners have to get their rigs inspected by a certified professional, pay a registration fee, and secure insurance comparable to what motorcycles carry. Once registered, these vehicles can legally operate on public highways - but with limits. They're capped at 20 miles per trip on roads with centerline markings.

We continue to monitor the effects that broad-based tariffs may have on the powersports industry and advocate for measures to mitigate these impacts."

2025 Mission King Of The Baggers

Kyle Wyman Clinches 2015 King Of The Baggers Championship at COTA

Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Factory Race Team rider Kyle Wyman was crowned 2025 Mission King Of The Baggers champion during the MotoAmerica double-header at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas (September 13-14).

Capping a dominating season in the series, Wyman secured his second King Of The Baggers championship aboard a race-prepared H-D Road Glide - with two races left on the schedule, his points lead in the class is insurmountable.

RevZilla/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson rider Hayden Gillim scored his second King Of The Baggers series victory of the season in Race 1 (September 13) after setting a new track record to top King of the Bagger qualifying. On Sunday September 14 H-D x Dynojet Factory Race Team rider Bradley Smith (United Kingdom) finished in third place for his third King Of The Baggers podium finish of the season.

With two races left on the 2025 Mission King Of The Baggers schedule, Wyman has scored seven race wins, and three additional podium finishes in 12 races while building a lead in the series standings that now stands at 70 points.

Wyman also leads all entrants in the King Of The Baggers series with 25 career race wins. Wyman won the King Of The Baggers championship in 2021, finished in third place in 2022 and 2023, and was second in the series in 2024.

Race-1 was dominated by Gillim, who set a new track record for the class in qualifying with a lap of 2:12.975 around the 3.4-mile, 20-turn Circuit of the Americas course. Gillim next won the three-lap King Of The Baggers Mission Challenge race by 3.025 seconds. In the 7-lap King Of The Baggers main event, Gillim led from the start and by the second lap had a 1.3-second lead over Factory Indian riders Loris Baz and Troy Herfoss, Wyman and Bradley Smith.

Herfoss dropped off the leader's pace after two laps and by mid-race Gillim's lead stretched to more than two seconds. RevZilla/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson rider Rocco Landers charged up from eighth on the starting grid to pass Smith and Wyman and battled with Baz for second place in the closing laps.

Gillim crossed the finish line 3.317 second clear of Baz, with Landers in third 0.111 seconds behind Baz. Wyman finished fourth ahead of Smith H-D x Dynojet factory team rider James Rispoli.

The Sunday King Of The Baggers main event started with a close call for Wyman and Gillim, as the two Harley riders came together in the tight first turn. Both riders remained upright, and Wyman held the lead as Gillim dropped back to fifth place. Wyman led the first three laps with Herfoss, Baz, and a charging Gillim on his rear wheel.

Herfoss passed Wyman for the lead on lap four and opened a half-second gap. Gillim passed Wyman to claim second place on lap 6 but ran off the track later on that lap and rejoined the field in ninth place. On the final lap Wyman ran onto the curbing trying to chase down Herfoss, went off the track and was not able to continue. Herfoss led Baz across the finish line by 1.447 seconds. Smith finished third, 7.014 seconds behind Baz.

After 12 of 14 rounds in the 2025 MotoAmerica Mission King Of The Baggers series, Kyle Wyman leads in series points with 240, followed by Baz with 170, Herfoss with 158 points, Factory Indian rider Tyler O'Hara with 128 points, Gillim with 127 points, Rispoli with 110 points, and Smith with 103 points.

The series wraps up on September 26-28 at the MotoAmerica Superbikes at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J.

The Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Factory Race Team is sponsored by Rockford Fosgate, Mission Foods, Brembo, Öhlins, Akrapovic, SYN3 lubricants, and Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts and Accessories.

2025 Progressive American Flat Track

Dallas Daniels Crowned 2025 Grand National Champion

Dallas Daniels (No. 32 Estenson Racing Yamaha MT-07 DT) fulfilled his lifelong ambition of becoming Grand National Champion as a thrilling 2025 Progressive American Flat Track season, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, came to its conclusion in the Arby's Lake Ozark Short Track presented by Arrowhead Brass at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri on September 13.

Competing before packed grandstands as a featured attraction of the 19th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest, Daniels needed to finish seventh or better to lock up the title in the event of a victory on the part of his Mission AFT SuperTwins title rival, Briar Bauman (No. 3 RWR/Parts Plus/Latus Motors Harley-Davidson XG750R).

This season marks the culmination of the first stage of Daniels' professional career. The Estenson Racing Yamaha star was widely projected as a future premier-class king as early as his amateur days, in which he became the first rider to win the Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Award in both flat track and roadracing.

He's only continued to accumulate accomplishments since joining the pro ranks. Daniels became the first-ever two-time AFT Singles champion and followed that up by authoring a run that ranks as among the greatest first four seasons the Mission AFT SuperTwins category has ever witnessed.

In winning the 2025 crown, Daniels now stands as the seventh youngest rider to earn a first-career Grand National Championship, both as measured by age and experience. He's been a title contender throughout the entirety of his time in the class, proving himself a historically relentless and constant threat at the front of the pack, regardless of time or place.

Additionally, Daniels joins "King" Kenny Roberts (1973 & 1974) to become just the second rider to win the sport's greatest prize aboard Yamaha racebikes exclusively.

While ultimately unable to overcome Daniels' peerless consistency, Bauman closed out a spectacular season that only further enhanced the reputation of the two-time Grand National Champion. In '25, Bauman and his Rick Ware Racing team took the previously winless Harley-Davidson XG750R and won more races than any other rider this season (eight) while giving Daniels and the Estenson Racing squad all they could handle until the very end.

Daniels won the 2025 Mission AFT SuperTwins title with 313 points. Bauman ended up second with 307, followed by Brandon Robinson (No. 44 Mission Roof Systems Harley-Davidson XG750R) at 217 to give Harley-Davidson a season finale 1-2 and the 2025 Mission AFT SuperTwins Manufacturer Championship.

Meanwhile, Trent Lowe (No. 48 American Honda/Progressive Insurance Honda Tranalp) secured Mission AFT SuperTwins Rookie of the Year honors by finishing a superb fourth overall with 186 points.

AFT Singles presented by KICKER

While Tom Drane (No. 59 Estenson Racing Yamaha YZ450F) locked up the 2025 AFT Singles presented by KICKER title two rounds early, there was still much in play at the '25 finale. But even with the remainder of the field seeking both personal milestones and momentum to carry into the offseason, Drane continued to own the spotlight.

Drane's season finale victory closed out his historic '25 campaign with a record-tying eighth win on the season, equaling the previous best marks of Dallas Daniels and Kody Kopp. It also represented his 19th-career win in the class, tying him with Shayna Texter-Bauman for second all-time.

His victory also sealed the 2025 AFT Singles Manufacturer crown for Yamaha.

Build. Train. Race.

Royal Enfield's Build. Train. Race. (BTR) program, which serves to highlight, celebrate, and encourage the involvement of women in flat track racing, closed out its 2025 season with a double finale at Lake Ozark Short Track.

Main Event 1 saw Madicela Rodriguez (No. 113 Royal Enfield/Parts Unlimited) fend off Taia Little (No. 11 Royal Enfield/Parts Unlimited) by a narrow 0.009 seconds at the checkered flag with Emma Gottsch (No. 5 Royal Enfield/Parts Unlimited) less than a second in arrears in third.

Little got her revenge in Main Event 2, shaking loose to win ahead of Gottsch and Rodriguez and secure the 2025 BTR championship.
