AIMExpo in Orlando

AIMExpo to be four days in 2014

The AIMExpo, Orlando (October 16 - 19) has cut back its duration by a day in response to exhibitor feedback.
As a part of its ambition to bring ‘Cologne’ (INTERMOT) and ‘Milan’ (EICMA) combination B2B and B2C thinking to the domestic US Powersports market, AIMExpo followed the five-day ‘European model’, but that proved a step too far for an American exhibitor community that has traditionally been accustomed to three day expo formulas.
Overall the initial reaction to AIMExpo was very positive, for a first year event, but the duration was one of the primary concerns voiced by its inaugural exhibitors.
Citing increased efficiency and cost effectiveness for exhibitors, Marketplace Events, which organised the show, say they had 392 exhibitors in 2013 and with over 200 already booked for October 2014 they expect to surpass that.
The event’s industry education program, the PowerSports Business Institute, is set to make a return following a well received first year, with media partner Motorcycle & Powersports News (Babcox Media’s re-badged Motorcycle Product News/MPN) confirmed as publisher of the show guides.
