Indian Motorcycle MY2025 Features Feature-Rich Three Model Scout Sixty Lineup at an 'Accessible' Price-Point

Highlights of Indian Motorcycle's 2025 Model Year additions include an accessible, all-new three-model Scout Sixty lineup that combines "iconic American design" with a "legendary balance of power and control." At the other end of the price-point spectrum the "ultra-exclusive" 2025 Roadmaster Elite touts "premium American craftsmanship" that is "packed with rider-centric technology and luxury comfort".

Indian Motorcycle is adding four new models for 2025, in addition to updates across its lineup. Taking center stage is the all-new, three-model Indian Scout Sixty lineup, and the ultra-exclusive Roadmaster Elite. The 2025 Scout Sixty family offers rider accessibility starting at $9,999, while the 2025 Roadmaster Elite is limited to 300 examples only, worldwide, and is a premium motorcycle for a premium price - starting at $41,000. 

"Our 2025 model year lineup offers new models and updates across the board to serve our ever-growing community of global riders," said Aaron Jax, Vice President for Indian Motorcycle. "The new Scout Sixty lineup builds upon our iconic Scout platform and offers a more accessible lineup for riders of all skill levels. An all-new Scout Sixty platform features three models - the Scout Sixty Bobber, Sport Scout Sixty and Scout Sixty Classic - at varying trim levels, all featuring "universal accessibility" at a starting price-point that Harley-Davidson simply refuses to serve.

Ergonomics for those price conscious buyers include a "class leading" low seat height to deliver "a confidence-inspiring ride for motorcyclists of all sizes and experience levels", while a low center of gravity "gives the bike a lightweight feel off the kickstand and exceptional low-speed maneuverability." Standard across the lineup are mid controls - keeping riders' feet planted firmly below for easier riding and better control. 

Scout Sixty Bobber

Tech features include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) across the entire lineup, "along with optional Traction Control and Ride Modes, which provide three distinct throttle responses to suit diverse riding styles, add to the Scout Sixty's approachability." 

The new Scout Sixty's tubular steel frame "offers a clean and simple approach ready for seamless customization," with "class-leading fit and finish that separates the Scout Sixty from the competition." 

Scout Sixty Bobber - Stripped down with an aggressive stance and class-leading low seat height, the Scout Sixty Bobber is the perfect expression of iconic bobber style. Blacked out with a black headlight bucket, the minimalist bobber aesthetic features a solo bobber-style seat, slammed two-inch suspension, and 16-inch, five-spoke wheels.

Sport Scout Sixty - A more aggressive and sporty package with Mini Ape Handlebars, integrated risers to improve reach and control, sport-style seat provides riders with more comfort, a quarter Fairing provides stylish wind protection; the 19-inch front wheel is said to add style and deliver agile handling. 

Scout Sixty Classic

Scout Sixty Classic - Featuring heritage-inspired design, premium chrome, classic Indian Motorcycle flared fenders, "flawless paint", relaxed ergonomics, a low seat height, and 16-inch cast wheels.

Indian Scout Sixty power is from a completely redesigned SpeedPlus 999 cc engine - delivering 65 ft-lbs of torque and 85 horsepower. Learning the lessons that Harley just refuse to take on board about the current market, the "smaller, liquid-cooled engine and five-speed transmission offer a more approachable powertrain for riders of all levels." 

Despite that customer friendly price-point additional features include choice of two trim offerings - Standard and Limited.

The Standard provides a "next generation" electrical architecture that includes ABS, LED lighting, a larger battery, new fuel level gauge for more accurate and real-time fuel monitoring, and new hand controls for improved ergonomics and enhanced rider control, an analog gauge and keyed ignition.

The Limited raises an already high bar (for the price!) with everything on Standard trim and adds additional features including Cruise Control, Traction Control, Ride Modes, a USB charging port and exclusive badging across the engine and frame. 

Sport Scout Sixty

Needless to say, there is a comprehensive accessory program of over 100 factory accessories including handlebar options, different seats and forward controls. In total, Scout Sixty offers 32 different ergonomic configurations - "allowing riders to ride longer and farther. 

Popular accessories available for the Scout Sixty include 4-inch touchscreen display powered by RIDE COMMAND offering GPS navigation, ride stats, controllable ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity; a quick release touring windshield; a 2-up seat; Touring saddlebags and a weatherproof Bobber style saddlebag with left and right rear fender options.

Roadmaster Elite - 300 reassuringly expensive numbered examples

Between 1914-1918, Indian Motorcycle Company founder George Hendee had expanded Indian Motorcycle's production facilities in Springfield, creating the most modern motorcycle manufacturing facility in the world. In addition to the famous Indian Motorcycle Red paint, which debuted in 1904, Indian Motorcycle Springfield Blue was the other iconic brand color of that era.

Honoring that past, the new Roadmaster Elite wears a tri-tone signature paint scheme, with premium candy finishes throughout. Indian Motorcycle Springfield Blue Candy, Black Candy, and Black Candy fade over a Silver base coat - complemented by Champion Gold outlined Headdress tank logos - completed with signature Elite graphics and hand-painted gold pinstripes. 

Roadmaster Elite 

Matching the Roadmaster Elite's premium styling is high-end, rider-centric technology - Indian Motorcycle's PowerBand audio with bass boost, twelve speakers in the front fairing, saddlebags, and tour trunk with UnderGlow lighting; 7-inch touchscreen display by RIDE COMMAND (Bluetooth connectivity, access to GPS navigation, ride stats, and RIDE COMMAND+, including bike locator, bike health, Apple CarPlay); air-cooled, V-twin Thunderstroke 116 engine (126 ft-lbs of torque); three ride modes (Tour, Standard and Sport); patented technology adaptive LED headlight with lean angle optimization; 2-up heated and cooled seat with graphene material for enhanced temperature optimization and heating /cooling distribution; spacious floorboards and passenger armrests; key fob operated remote-locking saddlebags and tour trunk; and a handlebar-mounted switch that will raise or lower the adjustable Flare Windshield by four inches (kudos to the team at Klock Werks).

Interestingly though, there's no 'Barista Grade' Italian made Lavazza coffee maker. Never mind, maybe someone will come up with an aftermarket fit kit for a retro upgrade (- Brian?).

Zero Launches Affordable Electrics

­While Zero has arguably championed the cause of electric motorcycles more successfully than any other dedicated EV two-wheeler brand, it's still far from the mainstream - even after 18 years of effort. Meanwhile relative newcomers from China like Surron have made huge bounds in sales with their low-cost, dirtbike-style electrics. Now Zero is aiming at that market segment with a pair of new models - the XE and XB.

The XE is the larger of the two, but still substantially smaller and lighter than Zero's existing offerings with a kerb weight of just 101 kg. It packs a removeable 4.3 kWh battery driving a 15.5 kW motor, and a full recharge takes only 5.5 hours from a standard 220v wall socket. There are three riding modes - Eco, Standard and Sport - and a hill-hold feature to make riding even simpler, as well as an auto throttle cut-off if the bike falls over. A forged aluminium frame and swingarm help keep the weight to a minimum, and the suspension is fully adjustable, with 21 in front and 18 in rear wheels to emphasise the offroad intent. It's road legal, though, in Europe at least, with LED lights and all the required equipment in terms of licence plate brackets and mirrors, and with a top speed of 85 km/h it's more than capable of keeping up with urban and suburban traffic. Range is a claimed 100 km at 50 km/h.

"New XB and XE models bring the brand to a new market"

The XB is an even smaller, lighter option, weighing a mere 63 kg and with a 45 km/h top speed, making it legal for moped licence holders. The battery, at 2.4 kWh, is smaller than the XE's and needs just 3 hours for a full charge via a 220v socket. Spare batteries will also be offered, so you can swap a fresh one in to instantly replenish the range. At 7.5 kW it has less than half the power of the XE.

Like the XE, the XB has a forged alloy frame and swingarm as well as adjustable suspension, and the battery can be charged either in the bike or removed to be charged indoors.

Big Sucker - Updated Design and Applications

The award-winning Ness Big Sucker performance intake series is now available for 2024 Touring models, featuring an all-new design that is engineered and tested to enhance performance. The patent-pending backing plate design is built for maximum airflow velocity, resulting in increased horsepower and torque throughout the RPM range.  

An integrated smooth radius air inlet starts at the edge of the air filter and ends at the mouth of the throttle body. The aluminum filter top plate has integrated filter mounting features and an air venturi.

For a clean look, the new filter ring design covers the urethane edge of the filter when installed, and the washable and reusable high-performance filters are made from black pre-oiled cotton for the best in airflow and filtration. 

The design accepts all Arlen Ness Stage-1 outer covers, and the finish is in gloss black or chrome. Fitment is for 2023-later FLHXSE/FLTRXSE and 2024-later FLHX/FLTRX/FLTRXSTSE.

Performance Brakin­g Rotator Rotors

The Rotator II performance brake rotor series features an all-new floating rotor design and updated styling features. Each rotor features a CNC machined black inner carrier, hole shot style floating hardware and directional design outer disc.

Both inner carrier and outer disc are machined from high carbon 420 stainless steel for optimum performance. Rotator outer brake disc features a directional pattern with CNC machined soft edges on every surface for heat dissipation and a smooth, stylish look. Available as left or right style fitments in 11.8" and 11.5".

Kickback Forged Wheels

These Kickback forged billet wheels feature a directional wheel pattern with angular design lines for aggressive in-motion styling. Each wheel is forged from Radial Forged 6061-T6 billet aluminum and "meticulously CNC machined into its final form with a high level of CNC machined detail, race inspired design and reduced weight."

Structurally tested to meet or exceed DOT, JAS and TUV International load ratings, they accept the Ness Cartridge Type hub design with both wheel bearings pre-set in one hub for optimum radial and lateral runout accuracy. 

The Hub Kits mount to Arlen Ness forged rims in minutes allowing for excellent versatility for custom build and new-build applications. Compatible with ABS and non-ABS models, they have proprietary fully sealed wheel bearings with ABS rings.  

Finished in Black Anodize, they are available in 18" x 5.5" / 21" x 3.5" fronts and 18" x 5.5" rears. They accept Arlen Ness FLT factory rotor adapters which utilize factory or aftermarket spoke mounted rotor discs; will also accept any 5-bolt standard H-D type rotor (factory or aftermarket).

Holeshot Titanium Rotor Bolt Kits

Arlen Ness Holeshot floating titanium brake rotor bolt kits and Holeshot rotor bolt kits are made from CNC machined titanium. The innovative design combines the floater bolt and bushing into a single unit, delivering a streamlined look while enhancing the strength of the bolt to 120,000 PSI of tensile strength. 

Each kit features CNC drilled lightning holes which are lightweight and aesthetically pleasing. Each kit is available in black gold, or polished titanium. Each kit is sold separately and includes five floating rotor bolts and spring washers. Fitments include 2014-2023 HD FLT Touring, 2024 Ultra and Road King (5/16" for H-D Front Rotors and 3/8" for H-D Rear Rotors).  

Carbon Fiber Fender Series

In 2024, Arlen Ness released a full new line of high strength, lightweight 3k prepreg carbon fiber front fenders in 19" and 21" size options. Designs include Wrapper (seen here), Pro Sport, Café, and Fat 21" carbon fiber fenders. 

The side window design of The Wrapper is CNC routed/cut for consistent smooth flowing, direct bolt-on design lines and includes CNC machined billet brackets finished in gloss black anodize. Engineered to allow clearance for up to 14" oversized front brake rotors they are available in 19" diameter

Each carbon fiber front fender kit includes carbon fender, billet brackets and necessary installation hardware. Fitments include 1999-2013 FLT/FLHT and 2014-2023 FLHT/FLHX/FLHR/FLTRX (except 2023 FLHXSE and FLTRXSE) plus 2024 FLT Touring models).

Arlen Ness Jagged Cush Drive Chain Conversion Kit

Designed for belt to chain drive conversions, these kits include specially engineered front and rear sprockets that allow for modification-free bolt-on installation, eliminating the need for grinding the inner primary for clearance. 

The 27-tooth front sprocket and 57-tooth rear retain the factory gear ratio. They feature a drilled out Jagged design style that is both heat-treated and coated for long-term durability. The cush drive assembly is CNC machined from billet aluminum and finished in black anodize. The required 530 series 130-link chain can be ordered separately.

High Performance Front Motor Mount for FXR and Touring

Described as "the ultimate solution for reducing engine vibrations and increasing stability", this front motor mount is made entirely of stainless steel, and is resistant to extreme temperatures, fuel, oil, chemical, sunlight, and the stresses of severe loads. The wire mesh elements are replaceable, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Motor Mounts for Dyna

These all-stainless-steel front and rear engine mounts are direct replacements for OEM rubber mounts. They utilize wire mesh technology to dramatically improve the performance of the motorcycle. They significantly reduce vibration, stabilize high speed wobble (no need to add stabilizer links) and are oil, fuel, heat, cold, chemicals and sunlight resistant. 

Extreme Dyna riders will be pleased to know that they are made extremely strong and robust to withstand high impacts during stunts. The front mount comes with two shims for precise fitment; they fit within the same space as the OEM mount on 1991-2017 Dynas.

Linkert Repair Manual 

Ger Dijkshoorn (born 1947 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands) has owned one of the most respected specialized Harley-Davidson workshops in Utrecht, the Netherlands since 1978. Dutch Motorcycle Academy founder Peter van den Barselaar once complained to him that lots of knowledge about classic and vintage Harleys is fading away as many of the older mechanics retire. He asked Ger to put some details on Linkert carburetors on paper so that he could give training on these. What started as making just a few notes ended up as a 36-page DIN A5 booklet in Dutch. Now available from Zodiac in English.

Ridelink's 'WingMan' Live Tracking Device

RideLink's 'WingMan' theft notification function protects vehicles with immediate notifications to smartphones in the event of theft. Thanks to GPS technology, the vehicle can be tracked precisely to find it quickly. As soon as the 'WingMan' is connected to the motorcycle's battery, the highly sensitive sensors can detect any movement and alert the owner. 

Precise GPS antennas track the location and upload it directly to the cloud. This makes the theft alert function like a tracking device, securing the bike 24/7 across Europe. Activation and de-activation of the alarm function is with the freely available 'WingMan' app for Android and Apple. The free App also has functions for solo and group navigation, route planner and more. 

The 'WingMan' module has an internal 1500 mAh battery for up to four hours of active tracking or a day's standby. It comes with a SIM card for the 2G or 4G network with coverage all over Europe. The use of the SIM card is free for the first two months after installation and then requires a paid subscription at € 5 a month (price as of July 1, 2024). The basic device is IP54 rated, measures 17 x 34 x 79 mm, and weighs 54 g.

Storied German tire manufacturer Heidenau has launched what it says is its first venture into the Cruiser tire segment with the K34 'Arrow' - unveiled recently at the 81st EICMA in Milan.

Suitable for touring, the K34 'Arrow' is "specifically designed for riders who want to combine a sporty, active riding with an individual style. In the field of cruiser and chopper tires, the K34 Arrow stands out with its classic design and allows every rider to give their bike a personal touch.
