Harley-Davidson

Pan America Fastest in Class at Bosnia Rally 2024

Harley-Davidson in Europe (HDEMA) continues to 'pimp' the success that riders are having with the Pan America - this time by Ralf "Ralle" Wiesenfeller, 52-yo from Niederkirchen, Germany, who has successfully completed the demanding Bosnia Rally (14 to 20 July) for the second time on a near stock RA1250 Special.

A 2022 model, the same bike that Ralf used to complete the 2022 Rally, the only change he has made from stock was to modify the footrests.

A well-known internationally certified off-road instructor, who is working for Harley-Davidson, he was one of around 450 starters, only 180 of whom finished the five days of the Rally. The 1,500 km (930 mile) course included steep climbs on unpaved terrain, narrow serpentines, dusty passages with deep ruts, muddy dirt roads, merciless gravel roads and rivers - where the Milwaukee built liquid-cooled 1,250 cm3 Revolution Max V-Twin proved it could survive and thrive in the company of models and brands with many decades more ADV engineering experience than Harley.

The Pan America ran in the 'Big Raid Adventure' class and, not being a Championship Rally, performance was measured by timings, and of the ten bikes in the class, Ralf brought the RA1250 home in the fastest time. Kudos Ralf, Kudos Harley-Davidson!
