Honda's motorcycle production and sales subsidiary in India is to build a fourth production line at its fourth plant. Set to start operations in 2027, the new line will have an annual production capacity of 650,000 units, bringing the total capacity of the fourth plant to 2.61 million. This will make it Honda's largest motorcycle assembly plant. Honda's four production plants in India total an annual production capacity of 6.14 million units. Since it started production there in 2001, their cumulative production volume has reached more than 70 million units.
Progressive AFT has announced that Caterpillar, through The Cat Rental Store brand, is continuing to serve as the Official Heavy Equipment Provider of Progressive AFT for the 2025 season.
RumbleOn reported a Q1 revenue drop, though turnaround efforts appear to have narrowed losses. The 'Omnichannel' retailer, said to be the largest powersports retailer in North America, reported a 20.5% year-over-year decline in revenue for the first quarter of 2025, totaling $244.7m. The drop was largely attributed to a significant slowdown in powersports unit sales and a steep decline in vehicle transportation activity, and reduced its net loss to $9.7m, compared to $10.3m in the first quarter of 2024/PSB.
Royal Enfield has reported that revenues rose 6% for its year to April, selling 86,559 motorcycles in April alone, compared to 82,043 sold in the same month last year, also an increase of 6%. It reported a 55% YoY increase in exported units for April (10,557 motorcycles in April), but just a 1% increase in sales in the Indian market (76,002 units) /PSB.
Having been a staple at the Buffalo Chip, legendary motorcycle lifestyle photographer Michael Lichter has had to decamp down the road to display his work at the Full Throttle Expo Center during the 85th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this year (August 1-9). Already a Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame inductee, Lichter will also be the recipient of the 2025 Arlen Ness Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating his contributions to the art, culture and lifestyle of American motorcycling.
