Moto America King Of The Baggers

Indian Motorcycle Racing and Troy Herfoss Win at Circuit of the Americas

Indian Motorcycle's dominating era in AFT racing may have now ended, but it continues to compete hard in the Moto America King Of The Baggers series, and none more so than the rising superstar Troy Herfoss.

The Australian delivered a remarkable performance at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA - September 13-15, Austin, Tx., Rounds 15 & 16). Down 14 points heading into the weekend, the Indian Motorcycle factory rider delivered the results needed to make a final push for his first-career KOTB championship - piloting his No. 17 S&S Indian Challenger to his sixth win and sixth second-place finish of the season.

Herfoss started the weekend off hot, winning the Mission Foods Challenge, its $5,000 prize, and qualifying pole for the Double Header. Race 1 saw both Indian Motorcycle factory riders run in the front pack - as Herfoss took second and Tyler O’Hara successfully edged out Harley-Davidson factory rider Kyle Wyman for third, behind RevZilla Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson rider Rocco Landers, who took his first KOTB win.

Revzilla V&H/H-D rider Hayden Gillim brought it home fifth, with H-D factory rider James Rispoli sixth and SDI/Roland Sands Racing's Bobby Fong seventh. He was on another Indian Bagger and was followed home by no less than three Saddlemen Seats/H-D riders - Cory West, Travis Wyman and Jake Lewis in eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.

In Race 2, Herfoss showcased his racing prowess, leading all six laps, successfully capping off the weekend with his sixth KOTB victory. Kyle Wyman was second (H-D), with Rocco Landers third (Revzilla/V&H/H-D), Hayden Gillim was fourth for Revzilla/V&H/H-D, James Rispoli sixth for Harley.

Further kudos to the Saddlemen Seats racing efforts in bringing its three riders - Travis Wyman, Cory West and Jake Lewis - to the line in sixth, seventh and eighth, with Max Flinders on the M3/Lyndall Racing Brakes/Cowboy H-D Indian in ninth.
