2020 Lima Half-Mile Postponed

Due to COVID-19 regulations in the areas surrounding Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, OH, the promoters of the Lima Half-Mile have had to postpone its doubleheader race dates scheduled for Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, 2020.
Assuming the rebuilt season starts as planned, the rescheduled Lima Half-Mile (the original date was June 27) would have been the second weekend double header following the expected season opening Barber, FL. Volusia Half-Mile double header slated for July 17 and 18.

AFT says it is working closely with the promoter, Allen County Fairgrounds and the local health officials "to help secure a date that will accommodate its current schedule and provide the best experience for its fans, competitors and staff."
If Volusia fails to survive the spike in coronavirus infections being seen in Florida, and no event is secured for the presently open August 28 and 29 double header dates planned to be staged in the Northeast, then, with the Sturgis Rally races at the Buffalo Chip and at Rapid City having been dropped from the revised AFT schedule, the 2020 season won't be able to start until September 5 and 6 at the earliest with the Springfield Mile I and II double header.
That would likely leave the season reduced to just six events, all of them double headers - Springfield, Illinois; Mechanicsburg, PA, Half-Mile; Dallas, Texas, Half-Mile (Devil's Bowl Speedway, Mesquite); the Atlanta Short Track; Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Daytona TT Season Finale during Biketoberfest (October 15 and 16) - assuming that escapes the Florida spike.
