Ultima 113" Twin Cam Replacement Ready to Ship
Back in March we published news that Pevely, Missouri based Ultima Motorcycle Products was in the final development phase of its new Ultima 113 ci Competition Series '99-'06 Twin Cam replacement.
Well, the company had promised that it would be ready to ship by the summer and, despite the potential for delays to anyone's plans because of the health emergency, here we are four months later, and seen here is one of the production engines just waiting for the heads and final assembly before going out of the door.
The 113" Twin Cam replacement is a hydraulic chain tensioner, direct bolt-in engine for 1999-2006 "A" motor Twin Cam models that is available in black, silver or polished.
Just like Ultima's EVO style engines, "this engine features high quality components at an affordable price. Cases are cast in a permanent mold from C356-T6 aluminum. These cases utilize Timken sprocket shaft bearings.
"The crankshaft assembly is the same reliable crank assembly Ultima has been building for years. Dynamically balanced and featuring forged H-beam rods for a rock solid foundation, the pistons are forged aluminum from Mahle Motorsports and the heads feature conical valve springs, chromoly retainers, manganese bronze guides, compression releases and stainless steel valves."
Valvetrain components include an Andrews 67H set of cams and Ultima's 4140 steel adjustable pushrods, topped off with 4140 forged steel roller rockers.
The cam chest components include a billet oil pump and a billet cam support plate with late model hydraulic chain tensioners.
