New at Motorcycle Storehouse
Motorcycle Storehouse launched a 500-plus page clothing and lifestyle catalog at the start of the year, and in order to showcase additions to their program have produced a magazine-style update designed to help their dealers exploit the burgeoning “skateboard meets hipster meets motorcycle scene”.
This summer special also includes feature articles on people and their lifestyle – articles such as a story about a 1968 T120 Bonneville chopper, a shovel chop and Richard and Aaron of Gas Monkey fame.
Also seen here, this Biltwell mongoose seat for Sportsters is a “direct and hassle-free install on rubber-mounted Sportsters with stock rear fenders.” The deep-pocket style seat is said to offer added back support, with the vacuum-formed ABS plastic pan, molded polyurethane foam padding and hand-sewn heavy-duty black vinyl cover in a choice of styles with polyester thread delivering durability on ’04-’06 and ’10-’16 Sportsters.
As one of the largest distributors of Vance & Hines products in Europe, MCS is carrying the latest version of the FP3 tuning module. Featuring Bluetooth smartphone communication with the fuel injection system (Android or iPhone), ‘Flash’ technology is used to recalibrate the fuel map.
Stationary manual adjustments allow adjustment of the fuel map, EITMS (Engine Idle Temperature Management System) and idle speed, and AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) ignition timing. This latest FP3 includes a rev limiter with new maps being able to be downloaded from Vance & Hines and through the on-bike sensors. The AutoTune mode enables the bike to recalibrate the fuel map in real time to adjust to the specific conditions and even the quality of fuel that is used.
When the Android or iPhone is installed, it becomes a bike-specific on-screen provider of live sensor data, like speed, rpm, cylinder head temperature, voltage, gear selection and so forth. Available in versions for 2007 and up Softails, Dynas, Tourers, Sportsters and Street models.
